Warriors Heat Up Late to Secure Victory

The Fairview boys basketball team opened OHSAA tournament play Saturday afternoon with a strong fourth-quarter surge, defeating Lake Catholic 74-54. The Warriors created separation late to punch their ticket to the District Semifinals.

Senior point guard Will Allen delivered a dominant performance, recording a double-double with a game-high 34 points and 12 rebounds while adding five assists and three steals. Allen set the tone early by scoring Fairview’s first 11 points and later slammed the door with 15 points in the fourth quarter.

Burke Lowry also posted a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds on an efficient 7-of-11 shooting night. Malik Walker provided a big boost from the perimeter, scoring all 12 of his points from beyond the arc where he went 4-of-6. Walker also contributed four assists and two blocks. Carter Reagan added nine points, all coming from three-point range.

Savijan Harris and Carter Holliday played key roles defensively. Harris pulled down four rebounds, while Holliday facilitated the offense with five assists.
