Fairview baseball earned its first win of the spring Friday evening, taking down Oberlin 6-3 on the road.
The Warriors got contributions throughout the lineup, finishing with nine hits on the night. Burke Lowry provided the big swing with a fourth inning home run, while Kenny Lowe and Nathan Clark each added two hits, including a double apiece.
On the mound, Cal Reis gave Fairview a steady start, working four innings and allowing five hits to keep the Warriors in position early. Lowe took over in relief and was sharp, going three innings while giving up just one hit and striking out three to earn the win.
With the game tied in the sixth, Fairview broke through. Lowe delivered a clutch double to left field that scored Colin Meyers and gave the Warriors the lead. In the seventh, the Warriors added two more runs, capitalizing on Oberlin miscues to create some breathing room.
