Warriors Battle to Fourth as Habbyshaw Claims Brookside Brawl Title

Fairview wrestling placed fourth Tuesday at the Brookside Brawl, putting together a strong team effort highlighted by multiple podium finishes. Junior Jackson Habbyshaw led the way, capturing the 175-pound championship with a perfect 4-0 day. Freshman Landon Strandahl continued his impressive debut season by finishing second at 106 pounds with a 3-1 record, while junior Connor Eigenbrod also earned runner-up honors at 157 after going 4-1.

Additional placers for the Warriors included Firaas McLeod, who took third at 120 (3-2), Daniel Davis finishing fourth at 126 (3-2), Graham Hewitt placing fourth at 132 (2-2), and George McAleer earning third at 175 with a 3-2 record. Colin Kay (165) and Rusty Bumgardner (215) both placed sixth, each going 2-3 on the day. Brendan Canfield (113), Carter Gross (190), and Cayden Polk (285) battled tough fields but did not place.
