Warriors Advance to District Title Game for Third Time in Five Years

The Fairview boys basketball team punched its ticket to the district championship Wednesday night with a 71–58 victory over Tuslaw, marking the program’s third trip to the district title game in the last five years under head coach Ryan Barry.

The appearance will be the fifth district championship game in school history. Fairview first reached the title game in 1957, returned in 2004, and now the Scarlet and Gray are headed back for their third opportunity in the past five seasons.

Senior guard Will Allen delivered a dominant performance, finishing 12-of-14 from the floor (86%) for a game-high 32 points. Allen caught fire in the pivotal third quarter, scoring 11 points as the Warriors began to create separation.

Fellow senior Burke Lowry provided another strong all-around effort with 16 points, nine rebounds and a team-high five assists. Both Allen and Lowry were perfect at the free throw line, combining to go 12-for-12 from the charity stripe.

Fairview also received key contributions throughout the lineup. Carter Holliday finished with eight points, while Carter Regan added six points and nine rebounds. Malik Walker chipped in seven points to go along with two blocks and two steals.

Defensively, the Warriors once again leaned on the effort of Savijan Harris, Kyle Farkas and Cal Reis, whose key minutes helped Fairview regain control and build momentum in the second half.
