Historic Night in Fairview, Warriors Earn First-Ever Playoff Win

Fairview made history Friday night, defeating Fredericktown 51–41 in the opening round of the OHSAA playoffs. In the program’s first-ever home playoff game, the No. 7 seeded Warriors delivered a record-setting performance to claim their first postseason victory in school history.

The Warrior offense was nearly unstoppable, piling up 506 total yards with perfect execution on key downs—a flawless 5-for-5 on third down conversions.

Quarterback Burke Lowry was in command all night, completing 17 of 21 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns. LaMarcus Clark powered the ground game, rushing for 175 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries.

Through the air, the Warriors spread the ball effectively—Savijan Harris hauled in two catches for 89 yards and two scores, Rayden Fraser added four receptions for 88 yards, and Will Allen caught four passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, Vinny Rizzo led the charge with 10 tackles, including two for loss. Harris added eight tackles, while Clark, Mason Woodworth, Danny O’Neil, and George McAleer each contributed 5 or more stops. Allen also came up big on both sides of the ball, recording an interception to help seal the win.

With the victory, Fairview advances to the second round of the OHSAA playoffs, where they’ll travel to Triway High School (Wooster, OH) next Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
