Fairview Battles to 1-1 Draw with Beachwood

The Fairview boys soccer team showed resilience Wednesday night, rallying late to earn a 1-1 draw with Beachwood in Chagrin Valley Conference play. The result moves the Warriors to 2-2-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the CVC.
Beachwood struck first, sneaking in a goal just before halftime after crowding the box and slipping one past keeper Isaac Lundenberger. But the Warriors regrouped after the break, taking control of possession and dictating the pace of play.
Their persistence paid off inside the final ten minutes, when Logan Melda headed home the equalizer off a Fairview corner kick, igniting the Warriors bench and home crowd.
Defensively, the backline of Owen Willis, Graham Foote, Luke Moravcik, and Engjell Zeqo anchored a strong effort in front of Lundenberger. Coach Brooks praised the team’s ability to maintain constant pressure, as the Warriors’ second-half attack kept Beachwood on its heels.
