Big First Inning Powers Fairview Past Brooklyn

Fairview baseball made it two in a row Monday night, rolling past Brooklyn 13-3 in five innings to open the series.

The Warriors wasted no time taking control, exploding for eight runs in the bottom of the first. Fairview sent 13 hitters to the plate, racking up eight hits in the inning to jump out to an early lead. They kept the pressure on with three more runs in the second and closed it out with two in the fifth to trigger the run rule.

The lineup stayed hot throughout. Cal Reis led the way, going 3 for 4 with two doubles and two runs scored. Nathan Clark added a strong day at the plate as well, finishing 2 for 3 with two runs scored, two RBIs, and a walk. Burke Lowry, Cooper Thomas, and Colin Meyers each chipped in with multi-hit performances as the Warriors piled up offense.

On the mound, Thomas handled the rest. The senior went the distance, allowing just two hits while striking out nine to secure the win.
